FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Real questions from procurement officers and private clients — no generic phrasing.
- 01Can I get a price over the phone, without a measurement?
- No. An exact price only emerges after an engineer visits the site and calculates it against the actual layout and volume. A figure quoted "by eye" over the phone is not binding and almost always differs from the real estimate.
- 02How long does the estimate take?
- One to five business days after the measurement, depending on task complexity. The same engineer who later runs the project prepares the estimate — not a separate sales manager.
- 03What's the prepayment and when is it due?
- For the government and quasi-government sector — 0% prepayment, paid after the closing documents are signed. For business and private clients — 40%, paid after the contract and agreed estimate are signed, not before.
- 04Do you work on 100% prepayment?
- No, the direction does not work on 100% prepayment for any segment.
- 05What's included in the order price?
- Materials, crew labor, and logistics. Non-standard site access and after-hours work are billed separately — as line items in the estimate, not as a surcharge after the fact.
- 06What if the volume turns out larger than the original during the project?
- The estimate is recalculated, and the difference is agreed before work continues — in a separate letter, before signing, or before continuing under an already-signed contract. No new amounts appear in the sign-off certificate.
- 07Do you work with tenders and public procurement?
- Yes — under direct contracts, tenders, and single-source procurement. The document package, including the work-completion act and e-invoicing through the ИС ЭСФ system, is assembled to match the requirements of the specific procedure.
- 08Do you subcontract the work?
- No, we don't hand a project to a subcontractor without the client's knowledge. Cutting, assembly, and final fitting all happen on one site under the direction's control.
- 09Do you accept a timeline that looks unrealistically tight?
- No — the direction doesn't take on a deadline it knows it can't meet. The real timeline is quoted after the measurement and volume assessment, not adjusted to fit what the client hopes for.
- 10How quickly do you respond to a request?
- On WhatsApp — within 15 minutes on weekdays from 09:00 to 19:00. Requests outside those hours are answered by 10:00 the next business day.
- 11Which regions do you work in?
- Across the entire Republic of Kazakhstan. Our home base is Astana; crews travel to other regions for specific projects, and travel beyond the home region is included in the estimate as a separate line item.
- 12What do I do if a defect appears after the project is handed over?
- Submit a claim via WhatsApp or email, referencing the contract number and acceptance certificate. The claim is logged by the same coordinating engineer who ran the project; next comes a site visit, recording the defect in a certificate, and a fix within the agreed timeframe at the direction's expense, if the defect isn't the client's fault.
- 13What's the warranty period?
- The period is fixed in the contract for the specific type of work and materials — there is no single figure in years for every category, because it wouldn't be accurate.
- 14Do you publish progress reports?
- A video report is published on Instagram (@qbix.kz) for every project — the same rule applies to government, commercial, and private clients. Photo documentation starts before work begins.
- 15Can the crew or the timeline change after the work order is signed?
- The work order is created in the CRM before the crew departs, based on the agreed estimate. Changes to volume or timeline go through the same process as the original estimate — agreement before work continues.
